Why I adjust children!

May 18, 2010 at 5:46 PM by Dr. Warman

We live our lives through our nervous system. For the human body to taste, touch, feel, and smell , we have to have a fully functioning nervous system. When a child goes through the birth process, there is a lot of pushing, pulling, and twisting which puts a lot of stress on the mother and child's body. A traditional normal birth process usually requires 60 to 90lbs of pulling stress on the baby, which can actually stretch the infant's spine and spinal cord almost twice its normal length! Imaging the force it takes to lift a 90lbs dumbbell off the ground . That's the kind of force exerted on the infant! How much stress or damage do you think that could cause on the baby? As a chiropractor I check the baby's spine for misalignments called subluxations. These misalignments put stress on the nervous system that causes the body to malfunction, kind of like blowing a circuit on the circuit box. Have you ever wondered why some kids are sick all the time and some aren't? Since the nervous system is so important for proper function we adjust children to give them better nerve function by eliminating any stress to the nerve sytem that may have been caused by the birth process or any other stress the child may have had.
